Malaysian Society (LUMSS) Majlis Raya
|

This was the first LUMSS Majlis Raya I've been to. It was a great evening. Although my group lost in every single games, hence no prizes, unbelievably, I won the best-dressed for female category (a shot from Isma's camera) and went home with a Moo mug (it's cute, okay!) filled with colourful sweets! winning the best-dressed? this never happened to me before!
And as I changed my mind about preparing nasi himpit, kuih kacang, and the lots, and inviting my office-mates (and ex-office mates): Jo, Kiel & Ackbar, over to my house (too much hassle guys!  ), I invited the guys to this event - yes I paid for them, am I nice or what? . But only Jo and Kiel made it. Glad these two guys enjoyed every minute of it, and stayed till the end. By the way, regardless the fact that Kiel had to take his shoe lace off his shoe, and put it on again, and how he hates this because our team didn;t win, I'm pretty sure he's over the moon with the Spicy Hut voucher he won from the Lucky Draw!

Eid Concert @ Opera House Manchester

I missed this concert last year as I went home for eid. This year, I thought maybe I should take this chance and see the acts. Although at first I wasn't quite sure whether I should, considering Anin will be in Lancaster. Abandoning Anin would be bad!
But I'm lucky to have a friend like Anin who is so understanding
Overall, the concert was great. Wasn't superb though. What I enjoyed most was the stand-up comedians by God Made Me Funny guys: Azhar Usman & Preacher Moss.
Other artists were: Raihan, Seven 8 Six, A'shiq-al-rasul and Khaleel Muhammad.

Anin brought her Singaporean friend, Nur, over to my place to spend their eid weekend in Lancaster. Took them around town, to kak Rina's open house, and to see Elizabethtown. The weather was horrible though; cold and wet! urgghhh!!
but glad to know they had a good time 
p/s sorry guys coz cancelled the plan to watch the fireworks. but we managed to catch the finale right?
* I still don't get it. Why they think Lancaster town is bigger than Durham?
