okay, this is how my new office looks like.

It's bigger than the old one, obviously. It is airy and has plenty of light - which is good. We also receive three VoIP phones, which is awesome. and honestly, I don't really mind sharing this office with six other people. the more the merrier

albeit all that, my brain just can't stop thinking about how to change the layout of this office. and this is due to following reasons:
* there isn't much space between my desk and kiel's
* the desks block bottom part of the shelves, which is a waste
* the desks are so massive, and their design are just too weird, that make it so difficult for us to re-arrange the layout

Cantik opis you tu! Bila nak balik sini? Wed 8-Sep-2004 07:36

10 am, Monday. It was overwhelming. Last week, I knew that on Monday, all of us will be moving into the new building. But as I stood outside the building, I still could not believe the fact that from today onwards, it will be the new Computing Department, and MY office will be in there. It just got into my head.

One thing for sure > this is the most sophisticated and the most stunning building in Lancaster University

Quote:
It will provide a high-quality environment for academic research staff, research students and businesses. InfoLab21 will provide new research facilities for computing and telecommunications. In addition, the project will provide facilities for technology transfer and incubation of high tech companies based on University expertise.read more

Friday the 13th - packing up
Saturday - leaving
crates - corridor

For the past 2 weeks, we got to see nothing but orange-crates (and grey) - along the corridors, in the foyer, in the offices, everywhere!!

The computing department is moving to a new building - the Infolab21. The moving day will be next Monday, the 16th (two weeks behind schedule).

Anyhow, I recorded few pictures of the current building/my office - coz i know someday-somehow i'm gonna miss this space. *glad that i captured few in the past view here

6 quid for a day trip to North Wales â?? who would say no??
The coach trip, organized by the GSA, took us to Conwy Castle and Llandudno.

Admiring the magnificent design of the 800 years old walls, breathing the fresh breeze, adoring the blue skies, listening to the sea gullsâ?¦ it is a wise decision indeed..

Such a perfect way to relax and unwind

For your convenience, I separate the pictures into two sets: Conwy Castle and Llandudno. All Conwy Castle pictures are in this entry. You can find all pictures taken in Llandudno in Friday's entry - previous entry.

It was so sunny in the North West!! and the heat was unbelievable..

we make the most of it by going to Windermere situated in the centre of the Lake District. And it seems like everyone had the same idea - I never saw this place so crowded with people!

*we*: Abg Ijan, Kak Zalina, Ariff, Afifah, together with Abg Din, Along, Irfan, Dina, (all the way from York) and myself

Jiden and Rijal (both from Cartmel College) graduated today. Congrats guys!

... and waited (patiently) for the following ceremony just to watch the Honorary Award part - which was awarded to Sir Ian McKellen who's also known as Gandalf and Magneto. yup.. he's the one!
Idlan and Florian: I guess they both are the happiest people on this planet right now.. i'm green with envy
