We had a talk by Bro. Daud Matthews as part of the LU ISoc Islam Awareness Week. This particular talk was the highlight of the week which we expected a large turn out.
He delivered "Islam vs. Terrrorism" from the Islamic point of view - which I found he's done a very good job. But I must also add that his views sometimes can be very-very personal, which this has left me with the feeling of unease, especially when i was in charge in handling and controlling the flow of the session.
Nonetheless, I personally feel the educational talk has given insights especially to us muslims.

Raya & short break in Malaysia

My sister and I both went home for raya this year. She got valid reason to go home - to see her husband and Aiman. Me? I just tag along - who knows this year's raya gonna be better than last year's.
it was the best raya i ever had - since I got here

A (very) short trip to Dublin

Flew out from Leeds on Wednesday and back in Leeds on the following evening, and even managed to get back in Lancaster on the same night .
It's a small city, I don't think I missed out much
Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time there - I really enjoyed the company [Nasra & Azah]

To my long-lost friend (we had lost touch for about 17 years) - thanks so much for the dinner. Really glad that you were able to make it
