So my plan to go to Spain didn't work out. I carefully thought of other places where I can go on my own. I thought of Austria. I got a friend who lives there.

I did everything - the flights to Linz, train tickets to London, in less than a week. I wanted to get out of Lancaster really bad!

I was honored when Shahbi, the LUMSS President, asked me to be the photographer for the Majlis Raya event. Idlan and I took turns capturing the moments.

someone came to me and asked, "how do you take good pictures?"
it's the camera really! but instead of that, I said, " you just shoot, let your instinct guides you"

the end is nigh

I spent the whole day yesterday resuming my work which has been abandoned since Sunday evening. The end is nigh. InshaAllah.

Later in the evening, there was another 'open house', organised by the undergrads.

Lebaran tiba lagi

The online streaming for lagu raya which was given to me by Mamah didn't work. Instead of listening to Saloma's Selamat Hari Raya, or Anuar & Elina's Suasana di Hari Raya, I put on Mawi's takbir and Mawi's Ku Pohon Restu Ayah dan Bonda whilst getting ready to go to the mosque for the eid prayer.

After the prayer and some 'photoshoots', Idlan and I went to kak Jo's/abg Razman's house, where we had our breakfast - raya style: with nasi himpit, kuah kacang, lontong. I stayed around till midday, whilst Idlan had to leave to see her supervisor. Whilst she's gone, I went on beraya to kak Nitty's and Kak Amnah's.

By around 2pm, I started feeling anxious because I couldn't wait to get to Kak Zarina's house to see kak Azean and her sister, Anum, and her niece, Sofea.

Having a cold on the first day of eid was bad. I pretty much couldn't taste anything. At the final open house, hosted by kak Yana/abg Bong, my cough got worst. I left pretty early to get some medication and some rest. I only left their place after I had the tiramisu of course!

Malam Takbir

On Saturday evening at the mosque, they announced that eid will fall on Monday the 23rd. I was delighted to hear this, as I could continue working on my thesis throughout the weekend, and get it over with.

We had a mini re-union between myself, kak Eda and Idlan at kak Amnah's house, where the three of us had been invited to break our fast with nasi dagang (one of the most renowned Kelantanese cuisine). The three of us just couldn't stop joking around and laughing out loud. Teasing one another (in a friendly way that is) is a normalcy. Poor kak Amnah
